How to measure (60 seconds)
- Choose your opening: measure the inside width and height of your existing fireplace opening (or planned built-in cavity).
- Match the cutout: compare your opening to the Minimum opening / cutout values in the fit table.
- Confirm depth: ensure the cavity depth meets the table (these units are deeper than many “slim” inserts).
- Pick your media: each size is offered with Realogs (L) or Acrylic Crystals (G).
- Plan power: all XHD models are 120V plug-in (15A circuit required; dedicated is preferred).
Planning note
For best performance, do not block the heater outlet or air intake. If you are installing into an existing masonry fireplace, draft-seal the chimney/flue area (per manufacturer guidance) so debris or moisture can’t fall into the unit.

Retrofit: draft-seal and keep the unit clean
If installing into an existing masonry fireplace, seal drafts so debris and moisture can’t drop into the unit area. Confirm the opening meets the minimum cutout width/height/depth for your size in the fit table.
Airflow matters
Do not block the heater outlet or air intake. Maintain open space around the front of the unit (no tight doors or heavy drapes directly against the face).

Built-in: frame to the minimum opening and keep the face unobstructed
Frame your cavity to the minimum opening (cutout) for your selected model, then verify depth for a clean install. Keep the front face unobstructed so heat can exhaust properly.

Each size offers two looks: Realogs (L) for a traditional feel, or Acrylic Crystals (G) for a modern aesthetic.
