Does the Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD require venting or a gas line?

No. The Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD is 100% electric and requires no venting and no
gas line. It plugs into a standard grounded 120V household outlet. The
manufacturer requires a 15 Amp, 120 Volt circuit — a dedicated circuit is
preferred but not required in all cases. One will be necessary if the breaker
trips during heater operation.

What does it cost to run the Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD?

Running cost depends on your local electricity rate, shown on your utility bill
as cents per kWh.

To calculate your hourly cost:
1,465W ÷ 1,000 = 1.465 kW
1.465 kW × your rate per kWh = your cost per hour

Can the flame effect be used without the heater?

Yes. The flame effect and heater operate on separate controls. The manufacturer
documents flame-only operation — the flame can run year-round without activating
the heating element. The heater can also be fully disabled via the touch panel
(Heat and Temp buttons held simultaneously for 2 seconds) while the flame and
all other controls remain active.

What warranty does the Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD come with?

The Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD is covered by a 2-year limited warranty from Glen
Dimplex Americas, covering defects in material and workmanship from the date of
first purchase. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not
transferable. On-site or in-home warranty service is included. The warranty does
not cover defects resulting from misuse, incorrect installation, improper
maintenance, or operation with an incorrect power source. Light bulbs are
excluded from warranty coverage.

Can the Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD be installed beneath a television?

Minimum clearance above the glass opening is not specified in the manufacturer
installation manual. The manual does state that high temperatures may be
generated under certain abnormal conditions and that the front of the fireplace
must not be obstructed. Consult a qualified installer for TV placement guidance
specific to your installation.

What dedicated circuit does the Dimplex Nova Multi-Fire XHD require?

The Dimplex Nova Multi-Fire XHD requires a 15 Amp, 120 Volt circuit. The manufacturer
states a dedicated circuit is preferred but not required in all cases — one will
be required if the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows on a regular basis
when the heater is operating, which can happen when additional appliances on the
same circuit exceed the breaker's current rating. The unit plugs into a standard

Is the Dimplex Nova Multi-Fire XHD noisy?
