The Empire Gateway 3500 is the largest non-catalytic wood stove in the Gateway Series, sized for whole-home heating in spacious homes, great rooms with cathedral ceilings, and cold-climate primary heat. The 3.5 cubic foot firebox accepts logs up to 22 inches east-west, the longest in the series. Heat output peaks at 110,000 BTU per hour on dry cordwood; EPA test range 17,200 to 57,800 BTU/h. Maximum burn time is 10 hours, the longest in the Gateway series. Heating capacity is 1,000 to 2,700 square feet. Particulate emissions are 1.6 g/h, the lowest in the series for reduced creosote on extended burns. Average efficiency is 71 percent HHV / 76 percent LHV. Built with 5/16 inch thick steel, firebrick-lined firebox, and high-heat C-Cast ceramic baffle. Original Purchaser & Residential Use: This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser for normal residential use. Proof of purchase (dated bill of sale), model, and serial number are required for all claims.
Professional Installation Mandatory: The stove must be installed by an authorized, qualified technician according to the supplied instructions and all local and national building codes. Improper installation voids the warranty.
Proper Fuel and Operation: The warranty is void if the stove is used to burn material other than cordwood or is not operated according to the owner's manual.
Claims Process:Contact your Empire dealer immediately. You must obtain an authorization number from them before any parts are shipped.The manufacturer may require digital pictures to support the claim.

The Empire Gateway 3500 vents through a 6 inch flue collar into a UL 103 HT factory-built chimney (rated 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit, ULC-S629 in Canada) or a code-approved masonry chimney with a stainless steel flue liner; minimum chimney height 12 feet. Freestanding clearances (USA): with single wall connector pipe, 13 inches back, 14 inches side, 7-1/4 inches corner; with double wall pipe, 7 inches back, 14 inches side, 7 inches corner; with certified heat shield and double wall pipe, 2-1/2 inches back, side, and corner.
