Aurora uses Fire Magic's traditional analog control face and analog thermometer; Echelon Diamond ships with a Black Glass touchscreen, digital thermometer, and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi remote. Cooking output by size is identical — A660i and E660i both deliver 75,000 BTU on 660 sq in; A790i and E790i both deliver 90,000 BTU on 792 sq in. How does the A830i Gas/Charcoal Combo work?

The A830i drops into a single 50¼″ × 19½″ × 11½″ cutout. Inside the same hood, the gas side covers 24″ × 18″ (432 sq in) with two cast stainless "E" Burners delivering 50,000 BTU; the charcoal side covers 22″ × 18″ (396 sq in) and uses a 26,000 BTU charcoal igniter to light the charcoal (after ignition the charcoal side runs without gas demand). Halogen lights and the optional rotisserie backburner are on the gas side only. Total cooking surface is 828 sq in across both fuels. Use both sides simultaneously to sear on gas while smoking on charcoal.

Does the Magic View Window affect the cutout or installation?

No. The Magic View Window is built into the hood at the factory on the -W suffix variants — it does not change the cutout dimensions, the electrical requirement, or the gas connection. Available on A660i and A790i Aurora variants. The window cannot be retrofitted to a non-window grill; order the -W suffix from the start if you want it.
