The premium design-forward variant of the Solution 2.3, with identical non-catalytic heating performance in a heavier, more refined build. The Harmony 2.3 is rated for 500 to 2,100 sq ft with 75,000 BTU/h maximum output, a 2.4 ft³ firebox accepting 20″ logs east-west, and an 8-hour maximum burn time.

Non-catalytic secondary air combustion, commonly misidentified as catalytic but confirmed non-catalytic in the official Enerzone manual. EPA 2020 certified at 2.3 g/h emissions. Cast iron door frame with wooden handle, plus optional decorative overlay panels in black steel (AC01232) or brushed nickel plated steel (AC01233). Optional refractory panel kit (AC01236) boosts firebox temperatures for cleaner low-burn operation. Mobile home approved with the AC01316 outside air kit.

Best for: living rooms and great rooms where the stove is a design focal point and Solution 2.3 performance is desired in a more substantial package.

Why Choose the Enerzone Harmony 2.3 Wood Stoves?

Non-catalytic combustion confirmed in the manual. Despite some third-party listings to the contrary, the Harmony 2.3 is non-catalytic. The official Enerzone installation manual (EB00045, revised December 2024) states under Section 2.1 Performances: Combustion Technology, Non catalytic. Four stainless steel secondary air tubes feed a C-Cast aluminosilicate baffle, the same system used in the Solution series. There is no catalytic combustor and no combustor replacement schedule.

Solution 2.3 performance in a heavier premium build. Identical 75,000 BTU/h output, 2.4 ft³ firebox, 8-hour burn time, and 2.3 g/h emissions across 500 to 2,100 sq ft. The Harmony adds a more substantial cast iron door frame with wooden handle, 33 pounds of additional construction weight (435 lb shipping vs 402 lb), and the Air-Mate convector shroud as standard equipment.

Optional decorative overlays and refractory upgrade. Two optional door overlay panels sold separately: AC01232 (black steel) matches the cast iron door frame in a uniform black finish, and AC01233 (brushed nickel plated steel) contrasts the black frame with a brushed nickel accent. The AC01236 refractory panel kit replaces standard firebricks with five moulded refractory stones for higher burn temperatures, an upgrade unique to the Harmony.

Enerzone Harmony 2.3 Wood Stoves Installation Overview

The Harmony 2.3 connects to a 6-inch top flue outlet offset 6½ inches from the rear and 12⅞ inches from a side, with a minimum 12-foot chimney certified to ULC S629 or UL 103 HT. US clearances with double-wall connector pipe are 6 inches at the back wall, 22 inches at a side wall, and 12 inches at a corner. Single-wall pipe clearances are 11 inches at the back wall, 22 inches at a side wall, and 12 inches at a corner (Canadian single-wall back is 14½ inches). The 22-inch side wall clearance is the largest in the Harmony and Solution lineup, so verify lateral space before installation. Top clearance is 48 inches from stove to ceiling with a standard 84-inch floor-to-ceiling height. Floor protection extends 16 inches in front of the door opening and 8 inches on each side. Mobile home installations require the AC01316 5-inch outside air intake kit and structural bolt-down to the mobile home frame (floor, walls, ceiling, and roof integrity must be maintained). A licensed or NFI-certified installer is strongly recommended. Full cutout, clearance, and venting details are in the Harmony 2.3 size guide.

FAQ – All Your Questions Answered

Is the Harmony 2.3 a catalytic wood stove?

No. The Harmony 2.3 is non-catalytic. The official Enerzone installation manual (EB00045, revised December 2024) states under Section 2.1 Performances: Combustion Technology, Non catalytic. Four stainless steel secondary air tubes feed a C-Cast aluminosilicate baffle. There is no catalytic combustor in the stove, no combustor inspection requirement, and no combustor replacement schedule. This is a common misconception; some third-party listings suggest catalytic technology, but the manual is unambiguous.

What is the difference between the Harmony 2.3 and Solution 2.3?

Identical combustion technology and heating performance. Both produce 75,000 BTU/h with a 2.4 ft³ firebox, 8-hour burn time, and 2.3 g/h emissions across 500 to 2,100 sq ft. The differences are construction and aesthetics. The Harmony is 33 pounds heavier (435 lb shipping vs 402 lb), has a more substantial cast iron door frame with wooden handle, includes the Air-Mate convector standard, and accepts optional decorative overlay panels in black steel or brushed nickel. The Solution 2.3 supports none of those overlay accessories.

Is the Harmony 2.3 worth the upgrade over the Solution 2.3?

Yes if the stove is a visible focal point in your living room or great room and heavier construction or decorative overlays matter. No if the stove will be in a utility location where aesthetics are not a factor; the Solution 2.3 delivers identical heating performance at a lower price. The combustion technology, emissions ratings, and warranty are identical between the two.

Is the Harmony 2.3 mobile home approved?

Yes, per the Enerzone installation manual (Section 6.1 and 7.2.5). The install requires the AC01316 5-inch outside air intake kit connected to insulated HVAC pipe meeting ULC S110 or UL 181 Class 0 or Class 1. Single-wall connector pipe is forbidden. The stove must be bolted to the structure of the mobile home; floor, walls, ceiling, and roof structural integrity must be maintained throughout the install.

What clearances does the Harmony 2.3 need?

US clearances with double-wall connector pipe are 6 inches at the back wall, 22 inches at a side wall, and 12 inches at a corner. With single-wall pipe, the values are 11 inches at the back wall, 22 inches at a side wall, and 12 inches at a corner. Side wall clearance of 22 inches is the largest in the Harmony and Solution lineup; verify lateral space before installation. Top clearance is 48 inches from stove to ceiling with a standard 84-inch floor-to-ceiling height. Floor protection extends 16 inches in front of the door opening and 8 inches on each side. Canadian installations: back wall single-wall is 14½ inches (versus 11 inches US).

What size logs fit in the Harmony 2.3?

Maximum log length is 20 inches loaded east to west (sides of the logs face the door). Recommended log length is 16 inches. The 2.4 ft³ firebox (21 inches wide by 17¼ inches deep by 11⅞ inches tall) holds 5 logs at standard loading. Wood should be cut at least 1 inch shorter than the firebox width for easy loading.

What are the decorative door overlay options on the Harmony 2.3?

Two optional overlay panels sold separately: AC01232 (black steel) matches the cast iron door frame in a uniform black finish, and AC01233 (brushed nickel plated steel) contrasts the black cast iron frame with a brushed nickel accent. The overlay panel mounts to the door front of an unmodified Harmony 2.3. The Solution 2.3's door geometry does not accept these overlays.

What is the refractory panel upgrade kit?

An optional kit (AC01236) that replaces the Harmony 2.3's standard firebricks with five moulded refractory stones (left side, right side, left back, right back, bottom). The refractory stones reach higher temperatures than standard firebrick, boosting secondary combustion efficiency and producing cleaner burns at low air settings. Worth considering for buyers who plan extended overnight burns at very low air settings. Unique to the Harmony; not available on the Solution 2.3.

About the Manufacturer

Enerzone is manufactured by SBI, Stove Builder International, whose Harmony line represents the brand's premium design tier. The Harmony 2.3 uses the same non-catalytic combustion as the Solution series but pairs it with heavier construction, a cast iron door frame, and the Air-Mate convector shroud as standard equipment. SBI positions the Harmony as the design-forward choice for buyers whose stove will be a visible focal point in the room. See the Enerzone wood stove comparison guide for the head-to-head Harmony versus Solution 2.3 breakdown.
