Why Choose the Enerzone Solution 1.7 Wood Stoves?

The strongest size match for 1,000 sq ft homes. The Solution 1.7 is rated for 500 to 1,800 sq ft, and 1,000 sq ft sits in the middle of the range where the stove operates most efficiently at moderate burn rates. The 65,000 BTU/h maximum output handles primary heating in moderate climates without continuous high-burn operation.

7-hour overnight burn time. The longest burn in the compact-to-mid Enerzone range. Load five 16-inch hardwood logs east to west on a 2-inch coal bed at bedtime, close the air control fully after 10 to 15 minutes of high burn, and the stove produces usable heat for 6 to 7 hours plus a hot coal bed for an easy morning relight.

Mobile home approved with four base options. Approved for mobile home installation with the AC01291 (legs) or AC01336 (pedestal) 5-inch outside air intake kit. Four base styles available: square legs, traditional legs (brushed nickel or black cast iron), round legs (black or brushed nickel), and pedestal with ash drawer. The Solution 1.7 qualifies for the federal Residential Clean Energy Credit under Section 25C.

Enerzone Solution 1.7 Wood Stoves Installation Overview

The Solution 1.7 connects to a 6-inch top flue outlet and requires a minimum 15-foot chimney certified to ULC S629 or UL 103 HT, taller than the 12 feet required by the other Solution and Harmony models due to the 1.7's optimized draft characteristics. US clearances with double-wall connector pipe are 7½ inches at the back wall, 10 inches at a side wall, and 12 inches at a corner. Single-wall pipe clearances are 13 inches at the back wall, 10 inches at a side wall, and 12 inches at a corner. Floor protection extends 16 inches in front of the door opening and 8 inches on each side. Mobile home installations require the AC01291 (legs) or AC01336 (pedestal) 5-inch outside air intake kit and double-wall connector pipe only. A licensed or NFI-certified installer is strongly recommended. Full cutout, clearance, and venting details are in the Solution 1.7 size guide.

FAQ – All Your Questions Answered

What size wood stove do I need for 1,000 square feet?

For 1,000 sq ft of average-insulation residential space in a moderate climate, the Enerzone Solution 1.7 is the strongest match. Its rated 500 to 1,800 sq ft heating area places 1,000 sq ft in the middle of the range, where the stove operates most efficiently at moderate burn rates. In poorly insulated homes or cold climates, step up to the Solution 2.3.

Can the Solution 1.7 burn overnight?

Yes. The 7-hour maximum burn time supports overnight heating. Load five 16-inch hardwood logs east to west on a 2-inch coal bed at bedtime, then close the air control fully after 10 to 15 minutes of high burn. Expect 6 to 7 hours of usable heat plus a hot coal bed for an easy morning relight.

Is the Solution 1.7 mobile home approved?

Yes, in both the US and Canada per the Enerzone installation manual (Section 3.1.6 and 6.10). The install requires the 5-inch outside air kit (AC01291 for legs or AC01336 for pedestal), double-wall connector pipe only, a factory-built ULC S629 / UL 103 HT chimney, and bolt-down to the floor.

Why does the Solution 1.7 need a 15-foot chimney?

The Solution 1.7's combustion geometry is optimized for a 15-foot minimum chimney, taller than the 12 feet required by the 1.4, 2.3, and Harmony 2.3. The additional height produces more reliable draft and consistent operation. Verify your roof and ceiling configuration can accommodate the full 15-foot run before installation. Single-story homes may require a chimney that extends 3 feet or more above the roof peak.

What size logs fit in the Solution 1.7?

Maximum log length is 18 inches loaded east to west (sides of the logs face the door). Recommended log length is 16 inches. The 1.86 ft³ firebox holds 5 logs at standard loading: 3 on the coal bed in east-to-west orientation with air space between, and 2 stacked on top at a 10-degree offset.

How much wood does the Solution 1.7 burn per day?

Typical daily consumption as a primary heater in a 1,000 to 1,500 sq ft home is 30 to 50 pounds of dry hardwood, roughly one-quarter to one-third of a face cord per week of continuous heating. A cord of dry seasoned hardwood (128 cubic feet stacked) is enough for 2 to 3 months of full-time heating in moderate climates.

Do I need a blower on the Solution 1.7?

A 130 CFM blower (Enerzone AC01000) is optional. For primary heating in homes over 800 sq ft, the blower is worth adding because it pushes heated air from behind the stove into the room and improves heat distribution to adjacent spaces. The thermodisc option starts and stops the blower automatically based on stove temperature.

What base options does the Solution 1.7 come in?

Four base options. Square legs, traditional legs (brushed nickel AC01183 or black cast iron AC01186), round legs, or pedestal with ash drawer (AC01181). All four accept the same body. Choose the base that matches your room's design. Base option affects overall height: square legs 28¾ inches, decorative legs 28⅝ inches, round legs 29½ inches, pedestal 29⅝ inches.
