Shipping & Delivery

Made to order
Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 5 to 10 business days of production before your order ships.

Free ground shipping
This size ships free by ground within the contiguous 48 states. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.

Returns
30 days from delivery, unused and in the original packaging, with a 30% restocking fee. Refunded to your original payment method. Drilled planters are final sale. Freight orders are final sale except where the planter arrives damaged or defective.

If it arrives damaged
Inspect the shipment before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing — to the boxes, the planter, or the packing material. A Jay Scotts delivery that arrives visibly damaged or not intact may also be refused outright. Do not refuse a Cosapots delivery: accept it, note the damage on the receipt and contact us, because a refused Cosapots shipment carries a 30% restocking fee plus round-trip shipping under the manufacturer's terms. You are entitled to open each box and inspect the goods; if the driver will not wait, write on the paperwork that you could not check for concealed damage. Report it to us in writing within 2 business days of delivery at customerservice@sereneyards.com, with photos of the damage, the cartons and the packing material, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Damage noted at delivery and reported this way is covered — contact us and we'll make it right, either by replacing the planter or refunding you. Damage not noted at the time of delivery is much harder to resolve, because the carrier claim depends on that record. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Return & Refund Policy

Return Eligibility
Cosapots planters may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unused, uninstalled, and in the original box with all factory packing materials. Planters with drainage holes added are final sale, because drilling cannot be undone. This does not affect your rights if the planter arrives damaged or defective.

How to Start a Return
Contact us first. Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA cannot be accepted.

Return Costs

  • A 30% restocking fee applies to all authorized returns.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Where shipping was free or discounted, the original shipping cost may be assessed.
  • You arrange and prepay return shipping.
  • For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee.

Final Sale
Freight orders are final sale except where the planter arrives damaged or defective. Your shipping method is shown on every size before you order.

Refunds
Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method, issued within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

Every Cosapots planter carries a five-year limited manufacturer warranty.

The Cavo is a wide, shallow bowl. Three times wider than it is tall in the larger size, which makes it the flattest round shape Cosapots makes and a different proposition from a planter you fill and forget.

Two sizes, 19.7 and 31.5 inches across, standing 8.5 and 10.4 inches. The proportion is what the shape is for: a low bowl reads as a surface rather than an object, so it sits on a table or a low wall without interrupting a sightline. The manufacturer rates the smaller for four 6 inch grow pots and the larger for seven 8 inch, which tells you it is designed for grouped planting rather than a single specimen.

Every size is published with the manufacturer's own dimension drawing. Cohesa, their fiberglass and polyester composite, puts the stone color through the body rather than over it. Six colors, stocked.

Cavo Low Bowl Fiberglass Planter in the studio

A wide, shallow bowl, close to the ground.

Built to last

Every piece we carry is chosen to last, indoors or out, and look considered for years, not seasons.

The proportion

Three times wider than tall

The larger Cavo is 31.5 inches across and 10.4 high, a ratio of about three to one. Among the round shapes in the Cosapots range nothing else comes close, and the flatness is the point: the planting reads as a surface rather than as something in a pot.

What it holds

Built for several plants, not one

The manufacturer states four 6 inch grow pots in the smaller size and seven 8 inch in the larger. A bowl this shallow suits alpines, succulents, seasonal bedding and trailing plants that spill over the rim, rather than anything that needs root depth.

The material

Cohesa, hand molded

Fiberglass combined with polyester and natural additives, hand molded over three to seven days per piece, with structural reinforcement built into the shell. The stone appearance comes from mineral colorants mixed into the material rather than a coat applied to it.

Finished in your color

Every planter is finished to order in the color you choose, then shipped to you.

Six standard finishes, hand-finished to order in the color you choose. Custom colors are available on request. On-screen color is a guide and can vary slightly from the finished paint.

Questions, answered

How deep is a Cavo?

The smaller stands 8.5 inches overall and the larger 10.4. The drawing does not state an interior depth, so we do not publish one. The grow pot figure is the practical guide: 6 inch pots in the smaller, 8 inch in the larger.

What should I plant in it?

Anything shallow-rooted. The manufacturer rates the smaller for four 6 inch grow pots and the larger for seven 8 inch, so it is meant for a group rather than one specimen.

How wide is the opening?

18.4 inches on the smaller and 29.9 on the larger. On a bowl the rim is the widest point, so the opening and the overall diameter are close together.

Can it stay outside?

Yes. The inside is sealed with a watertight layer and the bottom is raised so water runs off rather than standing under the planter.

How heavy is it?

14.5 pounds packaged for the smaller and 26.8 for the larger. A bowl this wide holds a lot of soil for its height, so it is considerably heavier planted.

How does it ship?

The 19.7 inch size goes by ground. The 31.5 inch size ships by freight on a pallet.
