Cosapots ship sealed. Drainage is drilled for outdoor use.

Which should I choose?

Why it matters
Every Cosapots planter is sealed with a watertight layer on the inside, so an undrilled one holds whatever water goes into it. Cosapots specify drilled drainage for outdoor use, and note it matters most in regions that reach freezing temperatures.

Do I need it?

  • Outdoors: yes. Cosapots specify drainage for any outdoor use, so water can drain sufficiently from the planter.
  • Indoors: usually not. The sealed interior holds water rather than passing it to the floor, so an undrilled planter works as a cachepot or around a nursery liner.

What we do
Drilling is free and done to Cosapots' own specification before your planter ships.

One thing to know

  • Drilling cannot be undone, so a drilled planter is final sale.

Shipping & Delivery

Made to order
Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 3 to 5 business days of production before your order ships. Gloss finishes need 5 to 7.

Free ground shipping
This size ships free by ground within the contiguous 48 states. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.

Returns
30 days from delivery, in new and unused condition in the original packaging, with a 30% restocking fee.

If it arrives damaged
Inspect the shipment before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing — to the boxes, the planter, or the packing material. Do not refuse the delivery: accept it, note the damage on the receipt and contact us, because a refused shipment carries a 30% restocking fee plus round-trip shipping under the manufacturer's terms. You are entitled to open each box and inspect the goods; if the driver will not wait, write on the paperwork that you could not check for concealed damage. Report it to us in writing within 24 hours of delivery at customerservice@sereneyards.com, with photos of the damage, the cartons and the packing material, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Damage noted at delivery and reported this way is covered — contact us and we'll make it right, either by replacing the planter or refunding you. Damage not noted at the time of delivery is much harder to resolve, because the carrier claim depends on that record. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Return & Refund Policy

Return Eligibility
Cosapots planters may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unused, uninstalled, and in the original box with all factory packing materials. Planters with drainage holes added are final sale, because drilling cannot be undone. This does not affect your rights if the planter arrives damaged or defective.

How to Start a Return
Contact us first. Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA cannot be accepted.

Return Costs

  • A 30% restocking fee applies to all authorized returns.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Where shipping was free or discounted, the original shipping cost may be assessed.
  • You arrange and prepay return shipping.
  • For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee.

Final Sale
Freight orders are final sale except where the planter arrives damaged or defective. Your shipping method is shown on every size before you order.

Refunds
Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method, issued within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

Every Cosapots planter carries a five-year limited manufacturer warranty.

The Lupo is a tapered round that keeps most of its width at the rim. Four sizes from 20.1 to 37.4 inches across, each about a third wider than it is tall, so it reads as generous rather than tall.

The opening is close to the full diameter, which is unusual on a taper and is the practical reason to choose one. A Lupo 62 is 24.4 inches across and opens 23.1, so almost the whole width is available to plant into. The manufacturer rates the four sizes for 18, 23, 30 and 35 inch grow pots, which are large figures for these diameters.

Every size is published with the manufacturer's own dimension drawing. Cohesa, their fiberglass and polyester composite, puts the stone color through the body rather than over it. Six colors, stocked.

The opening is measured at the rim; the body is wider than the rim on this shape.

Lupo Tapered Round Fiberglass Planter in the studio

A tapered round, widest at the rim.

Built to last

Every piece we carry is chosen to last, indoors or out, and look considered for years, not seasons.

The opening

Almost as wide as the planter

A Lupo 62 measures 24.4 inches across the body and 23.1 at the opening. On most tapers the rim gives up several inches to the taper; here it does not, and that is what makes the grow pot figures as large as they are.

The proportion

Wider than tall, at every size

20.1 by 15.3 inches through to 37.4 by 28.4, holding roughly four to three at every size. The sizes group without a step change in character, and the low center of gravity suits an exposed terrace.

The material

Cohesa, hand molded

Fiberglass combined with polyester and natural additives, hand molded over three to seven days per piece, with structural reinforcement built into the shell. The stone appearance comes from mineral colorants mixed into the material rather than a coat applied to it.

Color in the material

The color is mixed into the material with natural colorants rather than applied as a coat, so it runs right through the piece.

Six standard finishes, colored right through the material with natural colorants rather than painted, so the stone-like finish is integral to the piece. On-screen color is a guide and can vary slightly from the finished paint.

Questions, answered

How big is the Lupo?

Four sizes: 20.1, 24.4, 32.3 and 37.4 inches across, standing 15.3, 18.7, 24.6 and 28.4 inches.

What fits in one?

An 18 inch grow pot in the smallest, then 23, 30 and 35 inches. Those are large figures for these diameters, because the opening stays close to the full width.

How wide is the opening?

18.9, 23.1, 30.7 and 35.8 inches, against body diameters of 20.1, 24.4, 32.3 and 37.4.

Can it stay outside?

Yes. The inside is sealed with a watertight layer and the bottom is raised so water runs off rather than standing under the planter.

How heavy is it?

From 18 pounds packaged for the smallest to 53.2 for the largest.

How does it ship?

The two smaller sizes go by ground. The 32.3 and 37.4 inch sizes ship by freight on a pallet.

Can I drill drainage myself after delivery?

Yes. Drainage is free if you ask for it before we ship, and a drilled planter is final sale. If you would rather drill later, use a 25 mm bit suitable for metal materials. Drill before planting, not after.

Will watering mark my terrace or decking?

It can. Water carries growing media out with it, so protect the surface underneath, particularly on timber, pale stone or interior flooring. On a terrace, balcony or roof, also check the filled weight against what the structure carries: soil is the heaviest part, not the planter.
