Cosapots ship sealed. Drainage is drilled for outdoor use.

Which should I choose?

Why it matters
Every Cosapots planter is sealed with a watertight layer on the inside, so an undrilled one holds whatever water goes into it. Cosapots specify drilled drainage for outdoor use, and note it matters most in regions that reach freezing temperatures.

Do I need it?

  • Outdoors: yes. Cosapots specify drainage for any outdoor use, so water can drain sufficiently from the planter.
  • Indoors: usually not. The sealed interior holds water rather than passing it to the floor, so an undrilled planter works as a cachepot or around a nursery liner.

What we do
Drilling is free and done to Cosapots' own specification before your planter ships.

One thing to know

  • Drilling cannot be undone, so a drilled planter is final sale.

Shipping & Delivery

Made to order
Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 3 to 5 business days of production before your order ships. Gloss finishes need 5 to 7.

Free ground shipping
This size ships free by ground within the contiguous 48 states. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.

Returns
30 days from delivery, in new and unused condition in the original packaging, with a 30% restocking fee.

If it arrives damaged
Inspect the shipment before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing — to the boxes, the planter, or the packing material. Do not refuse the delivery: accept it, note the damage on the receipt and contact us, because a refused shipment carries a 30% restocking fee plus round-trip shipping under the manufacturer's terms. You are entitled to open each box and inspect the goods; if the driver will not wait, write on the paperwork that you could not check for concealed damage. Report it to us in writing within 24 hours of delivery at customerservice@sereneyards.com, with photos of the damage, the cartons and the packing material, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Damage noted at delivery and reported this way is covered — contact us and we'll make it right, either by replacing the planter or refunding you. Damage not noted at the time of delivery is much harder to resolve, because the carrier claim depends on that record. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Return & Refund Policy

Return Eligibility
Cosapots planters may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unused, uninstalled, and in the original box with all factory packing materials. Planters with drainage holes added are final sale, because drilling cannot be undone. This does not affect your rights if the planter arrives damaged or defective.

How to Start a Return
Contact us first. Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA cannot be accepted.

Return Costs

  • A 30% restocking fee applies to all authorized returns.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Where shipping was free or discounted, the original shipping cost may be assessed.
  • You arrange and prepay return shipping.
  • For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee.

Final Sale
Freight orders are final sale except where the planter arrives damaged or defective. Your shipping method is shown on every size before you order.

Refunds
Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method, issued within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

Every Cosapots planter carries a five-year limited manufacturer warranty.

The Mondo is the shape the rest of the Cosapots range is measured against. A rounded barrel that pulls in at the base and again at the rim, so it reads as a single curve rather than a cylinder with a lip. Eight sizes run from an 8.5 inch tabletop piece to a 42 inch specimen planter, which is an unusually long span for one profile and the reason a Mondo grouping holds together where a mixed grouping does not.

The body is wider than the opening on every size above the tabletop tier. A Mondo 50 measures 20.9 inches across the belly and 18.5 at the rim, and a Mondo 100 is 42 inches against 37.8. That matters twice: the belly figure is what decides whether it fits an alcove, and the rim figure is what decides what goes in. We publish both, taken from the drawing for that size rather than from a catalog.

Every size is published with the manufacturer's own dimension drawing, and the drawing changes when you change the size. Cohesa, their fiberglass and polyester composite, puts the stone color through the body rather than over it, so the surface reads as mineral rather than as a finish applied to a shape. Six colors, stocked.

The opening is measured at the rim; the body is wider than the rim on this shape.

Mondo Round Fiberglass Planter in the studio

A rounded barrel, drawn in at base and rim.

Built to last

Every piece we carry is chosen to last, indoors or out, and look considered for years, not seasons.

The profile

One curve, eight sizes

The Mondo holds the same barrel through a span most families cannot: 8.5 inches to 42, a factor of five. Grouped, the sizes read as one object repeated rather than as three different planters. The base draws in enough to lift the body visually without making it unstable, because the thin rim lowers the center of gravity.

Reading the numbers

The belly and the opening are different measurements

On a barrel the widest point sits below the rim, so a single diameter tells you the wrong thing depending on what you are asking. A Mondo 66 is 27.6 inches at the belly and 24.6 at the opening. The first is the clearance you need, the second is what the root ball has to pass through. Both are on the page for every size.

The material

Cohesa, hand molded

Fiberglass combined with polyester and natural additives, hand molded over three to seven days per piece, with structural reinforcement built into the shell. The stone appearance comes from mineral colorants mixed into the material rather than a coat applied to it.

Color in the material

The color is mixed into the material with natural colorants rather than applied as a coat, so it runs right through the piece.

Six standard finishes, colored right through the material with natural colorants rather than painted, so the stone-like finish is integral to the piece. On-screen color is a guide and can vary slightly from the finished paint.

Questions, answered

How big is the Mondo?

Eight sizes. The smallest is 8.5 inches across and 7.7 tall and weighs 2.3 pounds. The largest is 42 by 40 and weighs 87 pounds packaged. Each size is on the page with its own drawing.

What can I plant in it?

The manufacturer states a maximum grow pot per size, from a 6 inch pot in the smallest to a 37 inch pot in the largest. That figure is the one worth working from, since it accounts for the rim rather than the belly.

Why is the diameter different from other listings?

We publish the widest point of the body, measured off the drawing. A Mondo 50 is 20.9 inches there and 19.7 at the rim, and the wider figure is the one that decides whether it fits.

Is the color painted on?

No. The colorants are mixed into the material, so the color goes through the body rather than sitting on it as a coat.

Can it stay outside?

Yes, and the four smaller sizes are equally at home indoors. The inside is sealed with a watertight layer and the bottom is raised so water runs off rather than standing under the pot.

How does it ship?

The five smaller sizes go by ground. Mondo 66 and up ship by freight on a pallet.

Can I drill drainage myself after delivery?

Yes. Drainage is free if you ask for it before we ship, and a drilled planter is final sale. If you would rather drill later, use a 25 mm bit suitable for metal materials. Drill before planting, not after.

Will watering mark my terrace or decking?

It can. Water carries growing media out with it, so protect the surface underneath, particularly on timber, pale stone or interior flooring. On a terrace, balcony or roof, also check the filled weight against what the structure carries: soil is the heaviest part, not the planter.
