Shipping & Delivery

Made to order
Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 5 to 10 business days of production before your order ships.

Free ground shipping
This size ships free by ground within the contiguous 48 states. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.

Returns
30 days from delivery, in new and unused condition in the original packaging, with a 30% restocking fee and return shipping at your cost.

If it arrives damaged
Inspect the shipment before you sign. If it arrives visibly damaged or not intact, you may refuse it. If you accept it, note the damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing — to the boxes, the planter, or the packing material. You are entitled to open each box and inspect the goods; if the driver will not wait, write on the paperwork that you could not check for concealed damage. Report it to us in writing within 2 business days of delivery at customerservice@sereneyards.com, with photos of the damage, the cartons and the packing material, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Damage noted at delivery and reported this way is covered — contact us and we'll make it right, either by replacing the planter or refunding you. Damage not noted at the time of delivery is much harder to resolve, because the carrier claim depends on that record. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Return & Refund Policy

At Serene Yards, we want you to be happy with your purchase.

Return Eligibility
Items must be new, unused, and in original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Drilled-drainage planters are final sale, because drilling is done to order and cannot be undone. This does not affect your rights if the planter arrives damaged or defective.

How to Initiate a Return
Contact us first! Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 to get a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA will not be accepted.

Return Costs

  • A 30% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs on change-of-mind returns.
  • For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee.

Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

Seven inches square in section, and six of those seven are interior. The Monaco Rectangle gives away almost nothing to its own walls, which is rare at this scale and is the reason it is worth choosing over a chunkier box of the same width.

What it buys you is a line where there is no floor. Seven inches will sit on a windowsill, a bar top, a shelf or the middle of a long table, and at twenty-six, thirty-two or forty-four inches it draws a continuous edge instead of marking a single point. Two of them end to end run the length of a counter. Nothing else we make is this shallow in footprint.

The planting has to suit it: six-inch nursery pots in a row, four to seven of them, so herbs, compact bedding and small succulents rather than anything with a serious root ball. Six inches of soil for that much length also means it dries quickly, so it wants checking more often through summer than a deep trough would. Nine and a half pounds empty in the shortest length. Non-porous, so it does not take up the water that expands on freezing, and hand-finished to order in the color you choose.

Monaco Rectangle Planter in the studio

A slim architectural bar for a long, low planting.

Built to last

Every piece we carry is chosen to last, indoors or out, and look considered for years, not seasons.

Built to last

Inside or out

Non-porous fiberglass with a UV-resistant finish: it does not absorb the water that expands on freezing, so it holds its shape through winter and its color through summer.

Slim tabletop trough

A bar, not a bin

A slim 7-inch-square cross-section runs the full length with square corners, so it reads as a clean architectural bar sized for a row of small pots, not a deep bin.

Finished to order

Your color, your space

Each Monaco Rectangle is hand-finished in your chosen shade, so the color is specified to the space rather than chosen from what is in stock. The finish is an automotive-grade, UV-resistant paint system.

Finished in your color

Every planter is finished to order in the color you choose, then shipped to you.

Twenty standard finishes, hand-finished to order in the color you choose. Custom colors are available on request. On-screen color is a guide and can vary slightly from the finished paint.

Questions, answered

Can the Monaco Rectangle be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. It is premium fiberglass, non-porous and UV-resistant, so it does not absorb the water that expands on freezing and does not fade in full sun.

Drainage is what decides it in practice: water left standing in an undrained planter through a freeze is the common failure, not the material.

What size should I choose?

Three lengths share the same 7 by 7 inch cross-section: 26 inches for a short console or windowsill, 32 inches for a standard side table, 44 inches for a long counter or sill.

What is the rectangle trough best for?

It is a slim, straight-walled rectangular trough, a clean architectural bar rather than a deep bin. It suits a row of small pots along a tabletop, windowsill, or narrow ledge.

How many grow pots fit inside?

The 26 inch fits about four standard 6 inch nursery pots in a row, 32 inch about five, and 44 inch about seven, with a little spacing between each.

Does it come with drainage holes?

Not by default, so it can hold liners or double as a cachepot row. You can add drilled drainage on request; note a drilled planter is finished to order and non-returnable.

How heavy is it?

Fiberglass keeps it light: about 6.5 to 11 lb empty depending on length, easy to move or reposition with one hand.
