TrueFlame Cart Assembly Guide

TrueFlame Grill and Griddle Carts convert any built-in TrueFlame unit into a freestanding cart-mounted configuration — sized specifically to fit the matching TF, TFE, or TFG30 size.

Best for patios where a permanent island isn't planned, rentals where the buyer wants mobility, or hybrid installs that start cart-mounted and migrate to a built-in later. Six variants cover the lineup: CART-TF-25DC (for TF25), CART-TF-32DC (for TF32), CART-TF-40DC (for TF40), CART-TF-GRID30 (for the TFG30 griddle), and the TFE-specific CART-TFE-25 (for TFE25) and CART-TFE-32 (for TFE32).

Every cart is stainless steel construction with magnetic-latched access doors, four commercial-grade casters (two locking, two free), propane tank storage with cylinder lock-down hardware, two foldable side shelves with brackets, and an interior paper towel holder. The grill or griddle drops into the cart and bolts down to the cart frame; the transformer (where applicable) plugs into the back-board bracket.

TrueFlame Grill and Griddle Carts Installation Overview

Carts ship flat-packed for 2-person assembly. Hardware includes M6×12 bolts, M5×10 bolts, M5×30 bolts, M6×12 countersunk screws, and a screwdriver. Assembly order: build the cart frame, mount the casters and side-shelf brackets, install the magnetic-latched doors and rear panel, then drop the grill or griddle into the frame and lock it down with the M5×10 fasteners. For TF, TFG30, and side/power burner units, the transformer plugs into the back-board bracket inside the cart. Place the cart on a level surface; the locking casters hold position during use. For propane configurations, the LP cylinder lives inside the cart on the cylinder lock-down — replace by opening the magnetic doors and lifting the new cylinder onto the lock-down hardware. Which TrueFlame grill or griddle fits each cart?

Each cart is sized to a specific TrueFlame unit. CART-TF-25DC fits the TF25 / TF25L premium 25″ built-in. CART-TF-32DC fits the TF32 / TF32L premium 32″. CART-TF-40DC fits the TF40 / TF40L premium 40″. CART-TF-GRID30 fits the TFG30 / TFG30L griddle. CART-TFE-25 is the TFE-specific cart sized for the TFE25 / TFE25L entry-tier 25″. CART-TFE-32 is the TFE-specific cart sized for the TFE32 / TFE32L entry-tier 32″. The TFE carts are not interchangeable with the larger CART-TF carts and are priced at the entry tier.

Does the cart include the grill?

No. The cart is sold separately from the grill or griddle. Can I move the grill from the cart to a built-in cutout later?

Yes. The grill drops into the cart frame and bolts down with two removable M5×10 fasteners. To convert from cart-mounted to built-in, unbolt the grill, lift it out of the cart, and drop it into the island cutout — the cutout dimensions match the standard TrueFlame size for the matching tier (see the TF or TFE size guide for exact rough opening). The cart can be repurposed for storage or sold separately.

Does the cart hold a propane tank?

Yes. Every TrueFlame cart includes propane tank storage with cylinder lock-down hardware — a standard 20 lb. liquid propane cylinder (Type 1 valve) sits inside the cart, secured so it cannot tip or shift during use. Replace by opening the magnetic-latched doors and lifting the new cylinder onto the lock-down. The cylinder is not included with the cart and must be purchased separately.
