Plan the cutout per the size-guide table: TFSB2 is 10¾″ wide × 7¾″ high × 20½″ deep; TFPB is 14″ wide × 7¾″ high × 18¾″ deep. Side and rear clearance: 2″ from non-combustible wall, 10″ from protected combustible, 14″ from unprotected combustible. Overhead: 5 ft minimum. Exhaust hood (if used): 1,200 CFM minimum. Gas: natural gas inlet 4.0″ W.C. (min 4.0″, max 7.0″); propane inlet 11″ W.C. (min 10″, max 14″); ½″ minimum supply pipe inside diameter. BTU demand: 24,000 BTU on TFSB2; 60,000 BTU on TFPB. Both builds use Piezo & Manual Flash Tube ignition. To share a gas line with a TF or TFE grill, install a 3/8″ threaded T-adapter on the supply — one branch to the grill, one to the burner. What is the difference between the TFSB2 side burner and the TFPB power burner?

The TFSB2 Double Side Burner delivers 24,000 BTU total across twin brass-plated ring burners — sized for boiling, sautéing, sauce reductions, and side-dish prep alongside the grill. The TFPB Power Burner delivers 60,000 BTU on a dual concentric ring burner head with independent inner and outer ring control (two valves) — sized for high-output stir-fry, paella, low-country boils, and outdoor stockpot cooking. The TFPB includes a removable wok grate and integrated wind shield; the TFSB2 includes a standard SS cooking grate. Cutouts differ: TFSB2 is 10¾″ × 7¾″ × 20½″; TFPB is 14″ × 7¾″ × 18¾″.

Can I tee both burners off the same gas line as my grill?

Yes. To connect a TrueFlame side or power burner to the same supply line as a TF or TFE grill, install a 3/8″ threaded T-adapter on the line — one branch routes to the grill, the other to the burner. A licensed gas technician should install all gas lines. Size the supply line based on combined peak demand. Example: TF40 (80,000 BTU peak with rear burner) + TFPB (60,000 BTU) = 140,000 BTU/hr combined demand. The TrueFlame owner's manual includes the connection diagram.

Do the burners require an electrical outlet?

Yes. Both the TFSB2 and TFPB ship with a transformer that powers the full-length LED bar above the knobs and the individual LEDs behind each knob. A standard 120V outlet within reach of the burner enclosure is required. The Piezo ignition system itself is mechanical (no power required for ignition); the electrical service is only for the lighting package.

Is the lid required during cooking?

No. The stainless steel lid is a storage cover — always remove the lid completely before lighting and during operation. Never light either burner with the lid on. Re-install the lid only after the burner has fully cooled. The lid protects the cooking surface and the burner head from rain, debris, and pests when the unit is not in use.
