Made to live outside
Frost-proof, UV-stable fiberglass holds its color and shape through freezing winters and full sun.
Short Hayden Bowl Planter - 12"D × 7"H / White is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Sizes are the width across the widest point, and the bowl is low: 7 to 10 inches tall. The 12" is a tabletop or step accent with an 8.5" opening. The 16" suits a low grouping or an entry. The 20" holds a substantial arrangement with a 16.2" opening. All three sit lower than they are wide, so they read as a quiet horizontal note rather than a column.
Good to know: Made to order in your chosen color and shipped free from the U.S. Most orders ship within 1 to 2 weeks and arrive a few days after.

Short Hayden Bowl Planter - 12"D × 7"H / White is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Short Hayden is a low fiberglass bowl that swells gently below the rim and draws back in at the lip, so its widest point sits at the belly rather than the top. It reads as a rounded, quiet form: soft enough to break up a run of straight-sided planters, low enough to sit on a table or flank an entry without blocking a sightline.
Made from premium composite fiberglass, it stays light enough for one person to reposition yet strong enough to live outside year-round, through freezing winters and full sun, without cracking, rusting, or fading. The bowl is shallow by design, which suits trailing plants, low seasonal color, succulents, or a single clipped specimen rather than anything deep-rooted. Each Short Hayden is finished to order in your chosen color and drilled for drainage only if you ask, so it arrives ready for the spot you have in mind.
Every piece we carry is chosen to survive real weather and look considered for years, not seasons.
Frost-proof, UV-stable fiberglass holds its color and shape through freezing winters and full sun.
The body swells to its widest at the middle and draws back to a narrow rim, so the planting spills over the edge instead of sitting down a shaft.
Each Short Hayden is hand-finished in your chosen shade, so the color is part of the planter rather than a coat on top of it.
Nothing here sits in a warehouse. Every planter is hand-finished in the color you choose, then shipped to your door.
Working to a specific palette? Jay Scotts offers twenty standard finishes to order. Email us and we will arrange it.
The Short Hayden works indoors or outdoors in any climate. Its fiberglass body is frost-proof and UV-stable, so it can stay outside year-round without cracking or fading.
Ordered without holes by default, so it can hold a liner or double as a cachepot. Add drilled drainage at checkout if you plan to plant directly (note: a drilled planter is final sale).
The bowl is shallow, 7 to 10 inches deep, which suits succulents, grasses, seasonal color, and low arrangements rather than deep-rooted shrubs or trees.
Wipe clean with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads. In freezing climates, keep soil from sitting waterlogged over winter so trapped water cannot expand against the walls.
