Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 3 to 5 business days of production before your order ships. Gloss finishes need 5 to 7.
Free ground shipping
This size ships free by ground within the contiguous 48 states. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.
Returns
30 days from delivery, in new and unused condition in the original packaging, with a 30% restocking fee.
If it arrives damaged
Inspect the shipment before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing — to the boxes, the planter, or the packing material. A delivery that arrives visibly damaged or not intact may also be refused outright. You are entitled to open each box and inspect the goods; if the driver will not wait, write on the paperwork that you could not check for concealed damage. Report it to us in writing within 24 hours of delivery at customerservice@sereneyards.com, with photos of the damage, the cartons and the packing material, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Damage noted at delivery and reported this way is covered — contact us and we'll make it right, either by replacing the planter or refunding you. Damage not noted at the time of delivery is much harder to resolve, because the carrier claim depends on that record. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Curbside freight delivery
This size ships on a pallet by freight truck for a flat $395, free on orders over $2,000. The driver lowers it to the curb with a liftgate; plan for a second person to move it into place. The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, so please be available. Freight transit is usually 3 to 5 business days once the pallet leaves, and up to 7 to the Mountain states and the West Coast. You will get tracking when the pallet leaves, and we will confirm the delivery window with you once the carrier books it.
Returns
This size is final sale except for a manufacturer defect or shipping damage.

Return & Refund Policy
Return Eligibility
Jay Scotts planters may be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused, uninstalled, and in the original box with all factory packing materials. Planters with drainage holes added and custom orders are final sale. This does not affect your rights if the planter arrives damaged or defective.
How to Start a Return
Contact us first. Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA cannot be accepted.
Return Costs
- A 30% restocking fee applies to all authorized returns.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Where shipping was free or discounted, the original shipping cost may be assessed.
- You arrange and prepay return shipping.
- For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee.
Final Sale
Freight orders are final sale except where the planter arrives damaged or defective. Your shipping method is shown on every size before you order.
Refunds
Approved returns are refunded as Serene Yards store credit, issued within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.
Every Jay Scotts planter carries a three-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, which applies whether or not an item is returnable.

The Tegel stands half again as tall as it is wide. The shape does something specific to what you plant in it.
Because the wall pulls in toward the base, the soil sits high in the body. The weight of a filled planter is carried above the point where it touches the ground. That gives a deeper root run than a bowl of the same diameter can. It also makes the planted result top-heavy, in a way worth planning for. A grass or a slim upright reads well. A broad canopy in an exposed spot wants ballast in the bottom third first.
Two sizes, eighteen and twenty-two inches across, both standing well above their own width. Set one either side of a door and the planting starts at knee height rather than at the floor. Takes a standard fourteen or seventeen inch nursery pot, so it works as a cachepot without replanting. Thirty-three pounds makes the thirty-inch a one-person lift, which fiberglass allows and stone would not: non-porous, so it does not take up the water that expands on freezing, and hand-finished to order in the color you choose.
