Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 5 to 10 business days of production before your order ships.
Free ground shipping
This size ships free by ground within the contiguous 48 states. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.
Returns
30 days from delivery, in new and unused condition in the original packaging, with a 30% restocking fee and return shipping at your cost.
If it arrives damaged
Inspect the shipment before you sign. If it arrives visibly damaged or not intact, you may refuse it. If you accept it, note the damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing — to the boxes, the planter, or the packing material. You are entitled to open each box and inspect the goods; if the driver will not wait, write on the paperwork that you could not check for concealed damage. Report it to us in writing within 2 business days of delivery at customerservice@sereneyards.com, with photos of the damage, the cartons and the packing material, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. Damage noted at delivery and reported this way is covered — contact us and we'll make it right, either by replacing the planter or refunding you. Damage not noted at the time of delivery is much harder to resolve, because the carrier claim depends on that record. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
Made to order
Each planter is hand-finished when you order it. Allow 5 to 10 business days of production before your order ships.
Curbside freight delivery — $495
This size ships on a pallet by freight truck for a flat $495, free on orders over $2,000. The driver lowers it to the curb with a liftgate; plan for a second person to move it into place. The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, so please be available.
Returns
This size is final sale except for a manufacturer defect or shipping damage reported as below.

Return Eligibility
Items must be new, unused, and in original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Drilled-drainage planters are final sale, because drilling is done to order and cannot be undone. This does not affect your rights if the planter arrives damaged or defective.
How to Initiate a Return
Contact us first! Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 to get a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA will not be accepted.
Return Costs
- A 30% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs on change-of-mind returns.
- For returns due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we cover return shipping and waive the restocking fee.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

A bellied planter usually narrows at the mouth. The Shanghai swells out and then flares back, finishing on a shallow collar wider than the shoulder below it.
The consequence is practical rather than decorative. On most shapes like this the opening is the tightest point, and getting a root ball in means working it through a neck. Here the mouth is eighty percent or more of the full width, so a plant goes in and comes out whole. It makes a bellied planter behave like an open one.
Both sizes are wider than they are tall, sixteen by fourteen and twenty-one and a half by nineteen. At that proportion it sits at about knee height and fills a corner or the end of a run without cutting across a sightline, which is the argument for a low round shape over a tall one in a small space. Eleven and a half pounds empty in the smaller size, so it can be moved and tried in two places before it is planted. Non-porous, so it does not take up the water that expands on freezing, and hand-finished to order in the color you choose.
