Toulan Tapered Square Planter - 12"W × 22"H / White is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Sizes are the square width across the top: 12, 16, and 18 inches, standing 22, 30, and 36 inches tall, each tapering to a smaller square base. The 12" flanks a door or marks a balcony corner; the 16" carries a clipped boxwood or a small tree; the 18" is the statement size for an entry or lobby. All three read as tall columns, so they hold a wall or a tall window where a low bowl would disappear. Openings are about 8.7, 11.5, and 13.2 inches across.

Jay Scotts hand-finishes each planter when you order it. Allow 2 to 10 business days of production before your order ships.
Shipping
Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states, from U.S. facilities. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.
Larger planters
Oversized pieces may arrive by freight carrier, who will call to schedule delivery. Please inspect the shipment before signing, note any damage on the delivery receipt, and send us photos within 48 hours. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Return Eligibility
Items must be new, unused, unassembled, and in original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Special orders and certain parts cannot be returned.
How to Initiate a Return
Contact us first! Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 to get a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA will not be accepted.
Return Costs
- A 25% restocking fee applies.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

The Toulan is a tall square column that tapers as it falls, wide at a crisp square rim and drawing inward to a smaller square base. The straight faces and sharp corners read as architecture rather than pottery, and the taper keeps a tall planter from feeling heavy. At 22, 30, and 36 inches it stands at the scale of an entry, a column, or a run of matched planters down a walkway.
Made from premium composite fiberglass, it stays light enough for one person to reposition yet strong enough to live outside year-round, through freezing winters and full sun, without cracking, rusting, or fading. The vessel is deep, which suits an upright specimen such as a slim tree, a clipped boxwood, or a tall grass, with the wide rim giving a rootball room at the top. Each Toulan is finished to order in your chosen color and drilled for drainage only if you ask, so it arrives ready for the spot you have in mind.

Living with it
Care & placement
Placement
The Toulan works indoors or outdoors in any climate. Its fiberglass body is frost-proof and UV-stable, so it can stay outside year-round without cracking or fading.
Drainage
Ordered without holes by default, so it can hold a liner or double as a cachepot. Add drilled drainage at checkout if you plan to plant directly (note: a drilled planter is final sale).
Planting

Care
Wipe clean with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads. In freezing climates, keep soil from sitting waterlogged over winter so trapped water cannot expand against the walls.
