Sizes are the diameter at the widest point: 20 or 24 inches, standing 31 and 37 inches tall, with a rolled rim narrowing to an 11 or 14 inch mouth and a matching narrow base. The 20 inch is a floor statement beside a door or on a terrace; the 24 inch is a larger courtyard or entry piece. Both are deep, so they suit an upright specimen such as a slim tree, bamboo, or a tall grass rather than shallow planting. Use lightweight potting soil only, and give the jar room on all sides so the shoulder and rolled lip read from every angle.

Jay Scotts hand-finishes each planter when you order it. Allow 2 to 10 business days of production before your order ships.
Shipping
Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states, from U.S. facilities. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships; delivery usually takes another 2 to 7 business days.
Larger planters
Oversized pieces may arrive by freight carrier, who will call to schedule delivery. Please inspect the shipment before signing, note any damage on the delivery receipt, and send us photos within 48 hours. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Return Eligibility
Items must be new, unused, unassembled, and in original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Special orders and certain parts cannot be returned.
How to Initiate a Return
Contact us first! Email customerservice@sereneyards.com or call 888.254.6088 to get a Return Authorization (RA) number. Returns without an RA will not be accepted.
Return Costs
- A 25% restocking fee applies.

The Barà Jar is a tall jar-form vessel in fiberglass. A rolled lip sits over a rounded shoulder, then the wall draws steadily inward down a long curve to a narrow foot, so the widest point is high on the body rather than at the rim. At 31 and 37 inches tall it reads as a piece of pottery scaled up for the garden, a single sculptural form for a doorway, a courtyard corner, or a pair framing an entry.
Made from premium composite fiberglass, it stays light enough for one person to reposition yet strong enough to live outside year-round, through freezing winters and full sun, without cracking, rusting, or fading. The deep body and narrowed mouth suit an upright specimen such as a slim tree, a bamboo, or a tall ornamental grass, framing a single trunk or a tight cluster of stems rather than a wide mounding planting. Each Barà Jar is finished to order in your chosen color and drilled for drainage only if you ask, so it arrives ready for the spot you have in mind.

Living with it
Care & placement
Placement
The Barà Jar works indoors or outdoors in any climate. Its fiberglass body is frost-proof and UV-stable, so it can stay outside year-round without cracking or fading.
Drainage
Ordered without holes by default, so it can hold a liner or double as a cachepot. Add drilled drainage on request; a drilled planter is finished to order and non-returnable.
Care
Fill with lightweight potting soil only, never garden soil, sand, or rocks. Wipe clean with mild soap and water; an occasional wax keeps the finish bright, and touch-up paint is available for deeper scratches.
Handling
Fiberglass is light for the size (about 17.3 to 25 lb empty), but the jar is tall and deep, so set it in its final spot before planting.
